The Mardi Himal Trek is a hidden gem in the Annapurna region of Nepal, offering trekkers a serene and less crowded alternative to the more popular routes like the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) and Everest Base Camp (EBC). Introduced relatively recently, this trek has quickly gained popularity among adventure enthusiasts for its pristine landscapes, panoramic mountain views, and rich cultural encounters. Typically lasting 5 to 7 days, with an option to extend, the trek reaches its highest point at Mardi Himal Base Camp, situated at 4,500 meters (14,764 feet). It is graded as moderate, making it suitable for those with a reasonable level of fitness, despite the steep ascents and descents. The journey usually begins at Kande or Phedi, both easily accessible by a short drive from Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city that serves as a gateway to many treks in the Annapurna region. The best seasons for this trek are Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November), when stable weather and clear skies offer breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
